Not sure why I have the 8-bit still on my desktop computer. Even if I click OK on the error it won't go away. I've just been getting this error since yesterday, and it's making it impossible to get anything done. I have never had this problem before, and was able to mask out other objects earlier without issue. I think thats different from the new GEGL drop shadow in filters->light and shadow. The PNG-24 however, now that's a thing of beauty no matter where you put it. My fix for showing missing effects, right click on the object, select Display Performance, and check Typical Display. GIF will look like hot crap on a cold plate. If you put it over any other color than that for which it was intended though, you can see in the image below that the. If you are going to be placing the image over a solid background then it should look okay. For me, the DS wasn't showing up because I was in 'Fast Display' mode (must've hit something by a mistake). So the drop shadow effect doesnt know that youre scaling the image. Since I'm using the JambleTan skin the difference is glaringly obvious to me. With the frame that is supposed to be showing the drop shadow selected open the effects panel and make sure that the pull-down menu in the top left of the panel is set to Normal. The problem is that After Effects renders effects before transforms. You may or may not notice a difference in this case. Here is the same thing saved as a PNG-24. Hi guys, The Drop Shadow effect in my After Effects suddenly disappeared. It should look decent if you are viewing the site with the default color scheme of yellow and blue. GIF with a Matte color that matches the darker FK yellow. You want to set this to match the background color of whatever the image will be placed over. When you hit Ctrl+Shift+Alt+S to bring up the save dialogue the option is on the far right amongst all that other stuff. I think perhaps the only piece you were missing was assigning the Matte color.
